What to Expect From Your LED Treatment at The Skin Lab

LED light therapy involves the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits. The energy delivered is then used to improve cellular performance. The treatment is non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time, and can be used on all skin types.

What does the laser treatment involve?

A thorough skin consultation is carried out, concentrating on helping you understand the procedure, possible side effects, and the importance of after care.

Depending on skin concern, the correct wavelength will be chosen to maximize the results. LED therapy device will be placed close to the skin for a duration of 30 minutes. While results can be seen after the first treatment, a series of treatments are usually recommended to suit the individual patient. For acne 2 sessions per week are recommended. For anti-aging 2 sessions per week are recommended.

Not at all. LED therapy is completely painless - most clients find it deeply relaxing. You'll lie under the light panel for 30 minutes while it works its magic. Many clients describe it as a warm, soothing experience.

For optimal results, we recommend a course of treatments. For acne, 2 sessions per week is ideal. For anti-ageing, 2 sessions per week produces best results. You'll notice improvements after your first session, with cumulative benefits over a course of treatments.
