    What to Expect From Your BBL Treatment

    Your treatment time will depend on the size of the area to be treated. During the procedure, you will be given eye protection goggles.

    A numbing cream may be applied on sensitive areas. Your skin will be exposed to quick blasts of high-intensity light.

    Most of our clients report feeling a warm sensation and mild discomfort similar to the snapping of the rubber band. A cooling setting will be used to reduce overheating of the skin. 

    The treatment can be combined with other Sciton procedures such as HALO to achieve an all over rejuvenation of the face and body.

    What Is the Difference Between BBL and IPL?

    Most patients don't find the treatment painful. A cooling mechanism prevents the skin from getting too hot.

    BBL Hero can be safely customised for most skin types. However, it's not suitable for very dark skin tones (Fitzpatrick V-VI) or recently tanned skin. During your consultation, we'll assess your skin and confirm whether BBL is the right treatment for you.

    Yes, BBL Hero is one of the most effective treatments for sun damage. It targets and breaks down the melanin in sun spots, age spots, and freckles. The pigmented areas will darken initially before flaking off over 1-2 weeks, revealing clearer skin beneath.

    You will notice smoother skin after 2-weeks. Skin will continue to improve as collagen production increases over time.

    Your skin may look pink and feel sunburned for 4 hours post-treatment. You can apply mineral makeup. Any vascular or pigmentation may darken after the treatment, but it will improve within 1-2 weeks. Your skin will also be more sensitive to sunlight for 2 weeks after your treatment, so it is important to wear high SPF.

    Downtime is minimal, with mild redness 1-2 days.
