Profhilo FAQs

The standard Profhilo protocol is 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart. After completing your initial course, you can maintain results with a single top-up treatment every 6 months.

Profhilo is a specially designed treatment that is designed to deliver high levels of ultrapure hyaluronic acid directly into the skin.

While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, the best results are visible around 4 weeks after your second treatment. Following this, and after around 8 weeks, your skin will also appear more hydrated, healthy and youthful.

The injections sting briefly following the treatment, but patients usually report only mild discomfort. After the treatment, you may experience some tenderness for the first 24-72 hours.

We would recommend not drinking any alcohol for up to at least 24 hours after a treatment of Profhilo.

Results typically last 6-9 months after completing both treatments. Many clients book maintenance treatments every 6 months to sustain their results.

Profhilo can be used at any adult age. It's increasingly popular with clients in their 30s as a "prejuvenation" treatment to maintain skin quality, as well as more mature clients looking to improve hydration and firmness.

Yes, Profhilo is excellent for areas beyond the face. The neck, décolletage, and hands are popular treatment areas, as these often show signs of ageing and sun damage.

Downtime is minimal. You may have small bumps at injection sites that typically disappear within a few hours. Some clients experience mild swelling or bruising that resolves within 24-72 hours. Most people return to normal activities immediately.

Profhilo and fillers serve different purposes. Profhilo improves overall skin quality, hydration, and firmness without adding volume. Fillers restore lost volume in specific areas. Many clients combine both treatments for comprehensive rejuvenation.
