Laser Treatments
ICON Fractional 1540
Fractional laser skin resurfacing is used to treat a number of skin conditions with minimal downtime.
This laser can penetrate deeply enough to stimulate the collagen but not damage the skin surface. It delivers light to the skin through an array of high precision microbeams that penetrate into the dermis. Since the Icon 1540 delivers fractionated light, the treatments are safer to use on all skin types and produce consistent results.
Icon™ is designed to treat surgical and acne scars on any area of the body, including the face. It is also effective in treating stretch marks, wrinkles and pigmentation. You can expect to see an improved appearance of your skin tone and texture over the first 6 weeks after your treatment.
Fractional resurfacing with the Icon 1540 is much less invasive compared to ablative laser procedures such at CO2, resulting in a faster recovery time. Most patients experience minimal downtime, with some mild redness and swelling for a couple of days. Aftercare is simple and consists of moisturisers and sun protection (SPF).

Downtime after Fractional Laser Treatment
Typically, you can resume regular daily activities the same day as your treatment.
If a more aggressive treatment if performed you may require a couple days of healing. Immediately after the treatment, redness, swelling and/or brown debris at surface of the skin is common and typically lasts 2-24 hours but could last up to 3-5 days in some cases.
Gentle cleansing and use of non-irritating cosmetics are permitted after treatment.
Avoid sun exposure on the treated area and use a sunscreen SPF 45 or greater at all times throughout the course of treatment.
