How Does HArmonyCA Work?

The unique combination of Hyaluronic Acid and calcium hydroxyapatite injected directly beneath the skin.

The hyaluronic acid particles work deep within the skin, where they help plump it up for an immediate lift effect. Moreover, calcium hydroxyapatite particles support the body’s own collagen production, so new collagen fibres start to grow.

As the gel slowly disappears over time, a firm and dense collagen network is built in its place for a gradual, long-lasting lift from calcium hydroxyapatite. The clinical effects of CaHA can last 1-3 years.

HArmonyCA FAQs

A new dual-effect Hybrid Injectable, combining hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA).

HArmonyCa is injected into each side of the lower face in one 20-30 minute appointment. The filler should last for around 18-24 months before you need treatment again.

HArmonyCaTM contains 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride, an anaesthetic, to reduce pain during treatment. But as with all treatments, pain tolerance can vary between patients.

There is minimal downtime associated with this treatment as the insertions are noticable immediately after the procedure. However, they subside quickly and will disappear completely by the following day.

HArmonyCa can be used under the skin in the deep dermal and sub-dermal

layers in certain areas of the face, and cannot be injected around the eyes,

the lips or around the mouth. During your consultation, your aesthetician will discuss your concerns and suggest which facial areas can

be treated with HArmonyCa.

During your consultation, you will be advised when it is suitable for you to resume everyday activities after treatment. Normally, you will need to wait 24 hours after your treatment with

HArmonyCa before doing high-intensity exercise or activities.

HArmonyCa may give you an immediate lift* while stimulating your body’s own collagen production. Research shows that HArmonyCa offers a lifting effect as early as the second week after injection and results have been demonstrated in 86% of 85 treated areas.

In fact, 92% of patients treated with HArmonyCa reported an improvement in the general

appearance of the facial areas that were treated.

A survey of patients treated (N=45) with HArmonyCa found that most patients were highly satisfied with their treatment (average score 4.1 out of 5) after 19 months.

HArmonyCATM may be suitable for individuals with signs of ageing, who could benefit from potential improvements in skin architecture and facial soft tissue augmentation. During the

consultation, your healthcare professional will discuss your skin concerns, explain more about HArmonyCa and determine whether you are suitable for treatment. HArmonyCa should not be used in patients below the age of 18.

As with other injectable treatments, the most common side effects after injection with HArmonyCa include redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching. These are often mild, and typically get better within 24–48 hours, while swelling may take up to a week to completely go away. Applying ice packs or cold compresses to the treated areas for 24 hours after treatment can help to reduce redness, swelling and irritation. It is also

possible that you may feel small bumps under the skin in the injected areas. If this happens, make sure to massage the skin in these areas. There are other, less common side effects with HArmonyCa, which will be discussed with you during your consultation.
